Abstract
Wound healing is a complex process that repairs damaged tissue and restores normal function. This study looked at how HOCl helps wounds heal, as it is known to kill germs and reduce inflammation. The research was carried out at Bliss Hospital, Hyderabad, India, from January 2023 to January 2024, with 10 patients who had open wounds. Of these, three were women and seven were men, mostly middle-aged or older. One patient was a 3-year-old girl. Wounds were cleaned regularly using HOCl (Vida Solutions Pvt. Ltd). A 72-year-old man with diabetes and high blood pressure, who had a chronic wound on his leg for 35 years, showed full healing after 15 weeks. In all patients, wounds healed completely within 8 to 15 weeks. These results suggest that stabilized HOCl is a safe, effective, and reliable wound care solution that supports faster healing and infection control.
