Abstract
This article gives an overview of recent research on using HOCl inside the body to help prevent and control infections. It looks at different ways HOCl can be used, including in the nose and throat, the lungs, on the skin, and throughout the body. The article also highlights how HOCl has been explored during the COVID-19 pandemic. A short explanation of what HOCl is, how it works, and its natural role in the immune system is included to help readers understand why using HOCl in the body may support the body’s own defenses against infection.
